I may have complained about this one before. Two things. No, three.
First, who the hell gets up to drink a drink? I'm a lifelong teetotaler, but even I know that unless you're doing a toast most people drinking remain seated; I've never seen anyone get up when drinking. The character that Bruce Campbell plays in Burn Notice, Sam Axe, is a borderline alcoholic in my opinion (or a functioning alcoholic) and he drinks his margaritas / mojitos sitting down. Nobody in Scarface ever got up when they had a drink unless it was to jump out of the way when someone was shooting some automatic weapon at them.
And before you try to throw hypocrisy my way and being able to judge, I do know about alcoholism, one of my relatives is an admitted one, and I know how they act. Real happy, fun drunk; I was scared when I first saw it something like 20 years ago because then, I had never seen an alcoholic in person. Now I know how to recognize when someone is one, from direct, personal experience. And also when someone is a good social drinker or might be a heavy drinker but is not an alcoholic.
Second, you might be too sloshed to get up in the first place, and third, the game should have taken the glass anyway, not make me rise then tell me I didn't take it.
