This is ridiculous.
1. I commented in one forum about how someone did an interesting video where they did a morality play about a cop searching for a serial killer who turns out to be the killer of his wife, done to pacing of the Phil Collins' / Genesis song In the Air Tonight. At the end of the video - which was a machinima video, by the way - they killer surrenders but it turns out that the cop shoots him anyway.
What does the discussion turn to? Chalk's International Airlines and how the guy should have flown off in one of their seaplanes! Then I point out that that airline went out of business in 2007 and that it was in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Then someone tries to show something else - that the airline is in Miami - by taking the scene from the episode of Miami Vice in which the two cops are driving while In the Air Tonight, and in the last five seconds of that clip, they do not fly off in a Chalk's plane, they simply drive past one on their way to having a guy take them in his boat - which is not operated by Chalk's, by the way - to someplace. Then I have to point out Chalk's moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 2001 (I didn't even mention that was because they pulled an Air Florida and had to move out of Miami because they lost a part of their certification and had to rent other company's planes.)
In short, the whole thread got hijacked into a completely irrelevant topic.
2. I did a comment where I pointed out that all of the things you guys said about my buying a Macintosh were wrong. That I couldn't use it for programming because I couldn't install the latest version of Xcode on it, that it was useless for any serious work, that it is so obsolete it isn't useful. That was all wrong; first, I could and did install XAMPP which is a combination of the Apache webserver, PHP, and MySQL and allows me to run it as a web server, albeit not recommended for production since it would have no security and could be hacked by a member of the public. And that you were still wrong because I installed the latest version of XCode for that Mac and installed Free Pascal and Lazarus have been able to create apps that run and work the same or appropriately on both the PowerPC Mac and on a current Windows box by simply recompiling the unmodified source code.
And, as I keep pointing out, I simply wanted an inexpensive way to get my feet wet with how the latest Mac works. And, if you know of a way that I could have done this less expensively than the $130 including shipping, that I had to spend, to let me know. (Nobody remembered I'd made a mistake here, it ended up costing me $160 because I had to spend $30 on a video cable. Everything else either used equipment I already had on hand or software I could download at no cost.) Nothing, not a peep out of any of you, so I pointed out - in a Game of Twister sort of way with tongue in cheek, while sticking my tongue out at you guys - that you're just jealous because I figured a way to do something using an uniusual method.
Do I hear any substantial comments explaining how I was wrong, or when you ridiculed the Pascal language, (notwithstanding the fact that Pascal is a much more secure language to program in and less subject to attacks and hacking than C or C++ applications), what exactly is wrong with it (other than you're all a bunch of programming language bigots), or that there was a less expensive or better value method to do what I wanted - and was successfully able - to do?
Oh hear, that deafening silence.
3. I point out by making a face at you guys over item #2, that you're just be irrelevant rather than admit you were wrong, you're jealous that I figured out how to do what I wanted to do for not a lot of money, and you don't like it. All I get is a totally out in left field comment that we should invoke Rule 34 of the Internet and take my photo of me blowing a raspberry and sticking my tongue out at you guys, and do an obscene photo of a part of Steve Jobs anatomy showing how he's infected with AIDS. Despite the fact the published reports say he died of some other disease and you have no evidence that he has that disease and claiming he does constitutes libeling the dead which is a crime in some places. Then, since I caught whoever said it in an obvious piece of bullshit bravado, he then has to back up his lies with more lies by claiming he does have photo evidence, which would be extremely valuable and despite that he himself supposedly has AIDS, hasn't sold it to a tabloid, but wanted (facetiously) ten bucks to buy a cable to he could download his picture from his camera phone, (which I didn't even get to mentioning that if he had a photo of Steve Jobs from 1979 in his camera it would be rather interesting since we barely even had regular digital cameras back then, and phones didn't have cameras in them 25 years ago), and I pointed out the whole thing was ridiculous, if you had AIDS yourself, you could have sold that picture and the name of the AIDS clinic where you and he were both treated, to a tabloid, not offering it here for the cost of a cable.
But the point remains, I make mistakes where I go off on tangents, and I'm trying not to do that, and you people criticize me for doing the exact same thing that you're doing, then accuse me of having asperger's syndrome!
So it means that if I do have the problem, you're making it worse by doing the exact same thing, or you're doing the exact same thing, and in a case of "saucepan calling the double boiler aluminum cookware" (my new version of "pot, kettle, black"), you're then hypocritically claiming I have some sort of problem! Maybe you're so "good" at diagnosing someone with asperger's because you yourselves have it?
To put it bluntly, clean up your own act, first, or to quote a famous work of fiction, "And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?" - Matthew 7:3.
