| I wouldn't do this except I'm in trouble and can't think of anywhere else where either they'd like me enough or hate me enough - take your pick - to be willing to take me up on my offer.
I messed up. I mailed in a payment to both my Merrick Bank Visa and Amazon store card, my rent and the two other bills I pay. In fact, I had to cut how much cash I take out because I overestimated (my credit union requires I leave $50 in my share account to keep it open). Merrick Bank often takes up to 2 weeks to process a check and I mailed them $400 on May 4th or I'd pay with my credit card. Of which I have $11 credit remaining. I've been informed by email from GoDaddy that several of my domain names come up for renewal within a week. Which means I need $70 to renew them. You don't know how desperate I'd have to be to come here and ask someone to loan me $70. (I may be able to move a transfer registration someplace cheaper but I've heard GoDaddy sometimes refuses transfers close to an expiration so I might not be able to do that.) I no longer have a checking account, I only have a share (savings) account at my credit union, so I can't use a payday loan service. So here's your opportunity to get something you've always wanted if someone really means it: to shut me up, and get paid for the privilege. I will pay, on or before Friday, July 5, 2013, $77 to the first person who can loan me $70 via Paypal, as soon as possible. (I have a Paypal Mastercard Debit card, so if the registrar doesn't take Paypal they certainly take Mastercard.) You can either get the money back by Paypal or by Credit Union Check mailed to you if you don't trust Paypal (as I said, I do not have a checking account so it will be drawn on the credit union's account). That means I will pay 10% interest for use of the money for one month. But I'll offer one additional sweetener if you want it, and I'll see if that helps. I will go dark until the money has been paid. Think about it: one whole month of no postings from me on this site, either under this or any other name. Well, with one exception. I have 3 videos, two on cooking, one on installing flags in the ground so they aren't stolen, that all three are completed, are in the can and I need to finish editing them anyway so I'd have to stop posting to do that. I will post a one line message with the inline of each video as it's done and the direct YouTube link when they're available. And the same, single-line messages with the video in-line if I have others I finish. That's all, nothing else. Other than that, you will not see me here for the rest of the month - no exceptions or aliases - or until the money, plus interest, is repaid (or some alternate favor, if you want that). Now, here's your chance, I won't make this kind of mistake again, you can catch me when I'm most vulnerable and desperate (or I wouldn't be getting all these splinters in my fingers scraping the bottom of the barrel and going this route.) On the other hand, if you want some other favor instead of me going dark, or want some bigger favor instead of interest I'll consider it. Or you want something else, possibly develop a programming item for you. Or maybe you'd like advance exclusive to my videos. Ask; if I think your offer is reasonable I'll accept it. If you reply I will respond as soon as I see an email to paul@paul-robinson.us, put "domain name" in the subject and I'll check those first, but even if you don't I do read every e-mail people send me. If I respond back then you have to send the money within one hour so I can pay for this - to put it bluntly - fuckup on my part. I typically get e-mails fast, I often see them within a minute or two of when an authenticator like a confirmation service sends me a request. If you say you would and don't respond with the money quickly, if someone else responds I'll take them up on it instead and I'll also remember who tried to play games on me when I'm desperate, and I have a long memory of things like that. So if you really are interested and can do this, e-mail me at paul@paul-robinson.us and say what favor in response you particularly want to loan me the money. Note that I am not asking anyone to give me anything, what I am asking is what you want in return for loaning me the money until my next Social Security Disability Check is direct deposited at my credit union. Or, you could use me to pay a bill that you don't want to mail your own check or don't want to come from your area, I'll have the If nobody responds I will not take it personally, just remember, if you don't respond then think about how you had the chance to catch me at my weakest and most desperate and make me go away for the rest of the month and the beginning of next, and you pissed it away. |
