I totally despise it, it's used to qualify and protect so much shit. It's also particularly dismissive when used to describe people who are against race mixing. What a crock of shit! I guess the idea is for it to be the opposite of 'fan', but when it's thrown out after a guy beats his wife or a developer makes a shitty video game, it's completely irritating. People have a legitimate reasons to hate people who are pieces of shit.
