That's a pretty comprehensive list. Why isn't it on the blog? by Jerry Whorebach 05/12/2013, 6:26pm PDT
Provided you consider snowboarding a subtype of racing and wrestling a martial art (the pros might call it a martial entertainment), I think every sports game I ever liked is on there. Wait, I tell a lie; your list is missing Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for Super Nintendo. I have no idea if it was a good baseball game or not, but I had loads of fun changing all the player names to reflect the current rosters of my favourite superhero teams (X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, Uncanny X-Men aka The X-Men Jim Lee DIDN'T Want to Draw, that one book that was all Wolverines, Classic X-Men Reprints, etc.) and saving them with the BATTERY BACKUP. Also, it contained an unlicensed sample of Jim Belushi screaming OH COME ON that would play whenever you struck out, which honestly helped soften the blow a little bit.

(Samples at 1:12 and 2:14, though you might as well just watch the whole things. It's not like you're busy.)

Shit, you know what game needed more love? Capcom's X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. According to a preview I read in THE BIGGEST EGM EVER (over 400 pages!), it was supposed to combine the level design and overarching structure of Mega Man X with the characters and combat system of X-Men: Children of the Atom. The finished product actually did kinda do that, more or less, albeit in about the most half-assed way possible. It was alright, but it could've been so much better. I wonder if there's someone I can e-mail to make a remake happen? That fucking Penny Arcade charity, maybe?
