There is an honor there. I always tip my cap in appreciation to those that can play all three (or christ, even two) at a high level. I can't.
The thing is, most of the changes Blizzard has made to the interface and the ladder over the last three years have been with the unstated goal of just getting you to play. Some of these ideas, such as removing your loss statistics, and just showing your wins, were well-meaning but flawed. Some (the new XP system where you get toys just for showing up) work pretty well.
I think if you had separate ratings for the races, it would further encourage a great many players who specialize in one race and now can't really switch without knowing they're going to spend their next 30 games getting killed on the ladder, which is no fun. |
