Sucks. Except the Donkey Kong themed game. That's fun. New Super Mario Bros. U I think I hate the entire New Super Mario Bros. series. It's boring and forgettable. Here's how forgettable: I took a flight not too long ago and grabbed my DS copy thinking I had never gotten very far in it. I ignored the current save and started a new one, played a few levels, and then checked the old save to see how far I had gotten. Turns out I had done a full clear. Couldn't remember a thing about it. Meanwhile, I have every main Mario game (even some of Sunshine) permanently etched into my memory. I guess the Wii verson was a lot of fun as a 4-player party game. I never played that one. This one has 5-player with the tablet + 4 remotes, so maybe it's fun that way too. I'll probably never know since I'm the kind of person that has every main Mario game permanently etched into my memory. ;_; Single player is just a dull by-the-numbers platformer. Technically proficient with dead-on controls, but boring. Rayman Legends demo Jesus CHRIST, what a gorgeous game. And a stark contrast to how forgettable NSMB is: |
