I really don't see how Bloodlines would be bearable like that. It's not an action game, but they made the combat play like it.
The combat doesn't require the least bit of precision tough. You just point yourself in the general direction of the enemy and hit one of the mouse buttons. Is this any better or worse than hitting the attack command button over and over in other RPG's? Who knows! Just like KoToR and Planescape, I simply tolerated the combat so I could get to more of the dialogue and story (and the conversations are one area of Bloodlines where it runs fine).
Does it matter if it's difficult? Planescape would be frustrating if it skipped during combat, hell, anything could be. I don't see why you didn't breeze through the game in god mode to get to more dialog, and if you did, why are you giving people shit?
I played the game on a monster of a system and got random stuttering during the opening sequence and no other problems. Things like the gang fight, teleportation bosses, swimming puzzle, all could be horribly frustrating with stuttering. The minimum specs work with the promise that you can satisfactorily run (as it was meant to run) the game if you meet the requirements, that is to say, if you're below them you have no reason to buy it. If it was programmed with stuttering you should get it, if it wasn't you shouldn't get stuttering.
It's really just a problem with the game I think. There are about ten million posts on how to fix it and how to bellyache about it on planetvampire.com forums. That's among posts like this:
FAGGOT FAGGED:
FAG IN WOMEN OF BLOODLINES THREAD:
VV: Dunno, maybe for a pervert who's looking for the one night stand... Velvet is a fragile, ephemeral flower given the gift of immortality. She would not be content with a one night stand relationship, she has a attached personality, very dependent. She feels empty, and she tries to fill it with love and adoration, not pleasure.
In other words, that is a poor misconception, and Ms. Velour is not deserving of such a, sting. |
