| There's a white-trash character in the movie who looks a bit like a young Katie Holmes. She tries to seduce Tom Cruise, he calls her a slut (indirectly using incredible wordplay), then later he tracks her down at her job, scolds her while she huddles in a corner and tells her it's time for her to start having respect for herself and take a vacation and leave the city. She puts on makeup and *spoilers now* gets murdered, gently, by a more masculine up-and-comer. When the crime is pinned on Tom he just barely manages to outrun the paparazzi in time to defeat his rival in hand-to-hand combat.
Ladies, you may have already heard that in this movie Tom Cruise appears shirtless for no reason, only one of the many many parallels it has with Roadhouse. |
