Diamond Mind Baseball is a fun, text-based (well, it's got some graphics, to display the field and stuff) baseball game that is highly addicting. We are looking for an owner. The time commitment, if you do head-to-head, is maybe 2.5 - 3 hours a week, for 14 weeks. If you play for one year and don't like it, and don't want to re-up, that is totally fine.
I play in an 8-team, AL-only league. 20 keepers out of a roster of 32 players. We have an 84 game season played over 14 weeks. Our (off-line, slow) draft will be around Thanksgiving.
We do head-to-head as much as possible, but if you would like to run a team and JUST commit to being the GM (perform the draft, set the lineup each Sunday night, handle injuries, make fun of how poorly my team is doing) and do head-to-head when possible, then you know what, that's cool too.
Here are the teams that are open. My brother is going to run the team that does not get chosen. Their rosters from last year that you can select keepers from are also listed. (You can also rename the teams.) (To anything but the "Dickwolves.")
First team (Wichita, drafting second out of eight):

Second team (Aspen Hill, drafting third out of eight):

Our upcoming season will be the one with 2011 stats. The draft does not snake and there's a motherlode of exciting players in the draft pool this year.
Everyone in the league is chill. You can look at our league history by going to www.joltcountry.com and clicking on the links along the left-hand side that say "NIBBL". I have made the playoffs once in our league and it was one of the most exciting computer game experiences ever, like when I pirated Leisure Suit Larry as a little kid and guessed the copy-protection answers correctly.
Mail me at beaver@zombieworld.com if you're up for it, or respond here with your info. Thanks!
