but there was an admin for one of the companies we bought who fucking lived on keepass, all his internet shit was windows and I was in LA watching him use it and decided right then it wasn't a terrible idea to try it out at home (because why use windows for grown up shit?)
anyway it kicks ass and I recommend it as like a free way to contain the damage from this now-constant security nightmare*, just generate a different huge random password for every site and leave the thing open on your screen all the time (it's tiny). the other nice thing is it stores it all in one encrypted text file (just like linux!) so you can back it up to a usb stick and have it with you if someone jacks your laptop or whatever. the only password you have to remember is the master to open the file.
the drawback to this is a couple of dipshit game companies disable paste in their online client so you can't grab your password out of keepass and paste it into, say, SWTOR. most don't though and some of them even fix it when I complain so
(* this is the consequence of game companies sucking at pretty much everything technical except graphics pipelines)
