Getting equally worked up over a male protagonist being called those names would make you a pussy. Getting worked up over the female equivalent makes you a condescending pedestal-putter. Sometimes in stories, the antagonists don't get along with the protagonist! "Asshole"? Doesn't fit. "Idiot"? "Retard"? Too conditional. We're about out of genderless insults there. You might as well get worked up over the entire concept of gendered pronouns. Sexualizing an 18 year old adult well I never. Remember when everyone made a big stink over 19 year old Scarlett Johansson (18 at filming?) paraded around in her underwear in Lost in Translation? Wait...they didn't? Honest to fuck though, that new Tomb Raider is more exploitative and a hell of a lot creepier. Everyone can't stop tripping over themselves to line up gushing about empowerment nonsense. The protagonist isn't even of legal age there, and nobody is jerking off to the Lollipop Chainsaw chick screaming in pain, getting her legs skewered, and almost raped.
