This game is an abomination by Arbit 06/25/2012, 4:22pm PDT
It can't decide whether I'm in a tutorial or not or what part of it I am in. Me and my platonic ladyfriend break out of the Obsturgo (SP?) facilities and in the process beat up about 15 guards. No instructions or anything, just start fightin’, OK! Now I’m in the animus and I’m fistfighting some Italians and the game is trying to teach me how block and to string three attacks together, as if I didn’t just have to do that to beat the Obsturgeon security guards? After I beat those guys, my brother suggests I see how many I can take down before I get knocked out, then I fight like three guys and beat them easily. Fast forward like an hour and I’m in a fighting pen with my uncle Mario (he actually says “It’s a-me, a-Mario”) and the game is teaching me how to dodge and counter! Holy fuck, it's taking 2+ plus hours to dribble out tutorials on a simplistic combat system that I got sick of 4+ years ago, halfway through AC1. The most challenging part of combat is trying to decipher the mysterious iconography - what key is "head with a padlock next to it" bound to, again?

Leonardo DaVinci plays a wacky gadgeteer sidekick in this game

I honestly don’t remember paying for this… I hope I got it for free
