Did you read it? It had the typical jsoh diseased worldview, "be yourself", and suggested I was lying to the girls. Now, you tell me what the relationship is between texting and respecting myself, and then we'll talk.

Buddy, the fact that you're here posting this stuff already shows you're running low in the respect department. Instead of taking advice here (which involves accepting criticism) and choosing instead to deny and moan more, you are acting like a woman. Or worse, Quentin Beck. Pretty soon you're going to be defending your decision to go car shopping for these women.

"Be yourself" is more "don't be what you aren't". Being yourself doesn't work if you're default insecure with no self-respect, which is why step #1 is fixing that. Your first homework assignment is to take a week and think long and hard on why gobs of texting about problems paints you as a therapist instead of a partner.
