If you don't take it seriously, play with three other people that are roughly your level, and don't mind the loads of gimmicks, the game is a goddamn blast to play. That game alone is responsible for plenty of blisters on my left thumb for hours upon hours of proppeling people of the screen in Meele mode.
But there's always that guy who's praticed for hundreds of hours, gotten all the trophies, unlocked all the secret stuff, and has spent days improving his batting distance record by a couple meters. That guy exploits endless rolling dodges and the overpowered shield to their fullest, and then wonders why everyone else suddenly wants to play something else.
I cannot comprehend why Nintendo just doesn't crank out another Smash Brothers game. It's one of the only franchises worth buying a nintendo system for. All they would have to do is add some new stuff and balance out old characters. What smash fan wouldn't buy it? |
