It came with a 25-digit one-use code to unlock some multiplayer features I don't give a shit about, and which I had no intention of typing in using the clunky Xbox onscreen keyboard. Besides, I was sure the next guy would appreciate it if I ever decided to sell my copy or give it to Goodwill or whatever. But the game insisted on throwing up a nag screen for me to click through after every boot, just between the screen that says "don't power off the console while the game is saving PRESS 'A' TO CONTINUE" and the one that says "welcome to our shitty game PRESS START FOR MAIN MENU", telling me where I could go to purchase another code for the low price of $10. I heard those codes expire after a year anyway, so I went ahead and entered mine just to get the fuckers off my back. Now, instead of a screen bugging me to enter my code every time, I get a screen telling me I don't have sufficient priveledges to use the multiplayer modes unlocked by my code because I don't pay $5 a month for Gold-tier Xbox Live service, PRESS 'A' TO CONTINUE.
I don't even want to play this game anymore; it's making me feel angry and hopeless, like a trip to my bank. |
