Heheheh I think you're right.

I was staying in a homeless shelter (long story) for a couple of months and one guy there was trying to give an example of something. So he says to the other guy, "let me explain this to you hypodermically..."

I knew what he meant but I damn near busted a gut his malapropism was so funny.
