Bullshit. If you're offline and you're not in cached mode, you are indeed screwed until the next time you're able to get online to turn that off. The thread also suggests you uncheck the "remember password" box, which is good policy anyway. Beyond that, this works. Not a SINGLE PERSON says otherwise on there. Nobody quotes the two replies that solve the issue and then say, "I did that, no dice". A few people mention what I said, about unplugging or disabling the network connection.
