| Electronic Arts has bought PopCap, a maker of what are considered "crack cocaine" addictive games including Bejeweled, some game with a name like Garden vs. Zombies, Peggle, and many others. The purchase involves paying PopCap's owner $650 million in cash, $100 million in stock, and another $550 million in bonuses for hitting certain performance/revenue targets.
Pop Cap has about 400 employees. |
