I have a definite fondness for the - obviously bad for any living entity - steak, egg and cheese bagel that McDonalds sells for breakfast. A couple of them with chocolate milk, and it just makes my day. I don't have it too often, because I want it to be special. Yeah, I know, it's basically a recipe for instant hardening of the arteries. But it's sooooo tasty!
Now, Dunkin Donuts is now also selling their own steak, egg, and cheese bagel. And having tried it, (also with chocolate milk) I have to admit that it's terrible. McDonald's makes a much better one, and one of the reasons is, I can taste the butter that the McDonalds bagel carries; I don't think Dunkin Donuts uses butter inside their bagels. Also, they toast the bagel too much, the McD's bagel is less crunchy. (The chocolate milk is basically the same both places.)
I was deeply disappointed because DD offers their SEC bagel all day; McD's only offers theirs during breakfast hours. It meant, if it tasted any good, I could get it any time during the day as opposed to having to arrange to be awake during cow milking hours, e.g. before 10:30 am.
