It has a cool central mechanic, which is combining "seeds" with different types of liquid to create liquid robots. I'm only on the 2nd or 3rd level depending on whether you count the tutorial-y first level, but the designers seem to have done a great job of training you up on new liquids and seeds, and the puzzles are decently challenging and do a good job of forcing you to come up with new ways of using the different robot types.
The fluid dynamics are the central innovation, and the liquids looks great and are fun to play with, and the style overall is cool though sort of generic steampunk. The character animations on the main dude are a bit hinky, making the platformy parts annoying. Fortunately none of the puzzles so far have required precision jumping.
It's on sale on Steam this week and well worth the $13 so far. |
