I hit this, too. About midway through nightmare difficulty (or whatever harder than normal is called) I absolutely could not kill anything and got killed high instantly. Almost 100% offense so probably built for failure, but still: went from cruising to brick wall in just a few hours.

These sorts of games are a waste of life anyway ;)
