"Today" reports people with hard to pronounce names have problems by Xytofor Zitowich 02/20/2012, 7:09am PST
Apparently if your name is hard to pronounce it can cause you all sorts of problems, in school, in getting a job, and other things. Apparently people don't want to be in the position of mispronouncing your name, and so if your name is hard to say they're likely not to use it, so it might mean you get excluded from things because of this.

At least that's what the two women on the Today show said, neither of which I can remember their names. "Kotex" and Kathy Lea.
