You can't get Majesty 1 from gog, but gamersgate has it on sale for less than $2 today.
While Freespace 2 is still officially my favorite videogame, if I were honest about what game I have sunk the most hours into over the years, that would be Majesty 1.
Once the game is fully DL'ed and the installer is running, open the gamersgate temporary files folder and copy the folder with the installer and data files to somewhere else. You now have a DRM-free installer suitable for burning to a disk. Note that all the levels are available in the expansion .exe. You may have to play in Windows 98 compatibility mode.
And there is no greater proof that Tom Chick is an asshole than the fact that he erased Erik's Qt3 review of Majesty, the only article ever published on that site worth reading: Archive.org mirror |

I would counter that Majesty 1 perfected the gameplay of DK, if not the setting. by Mischief Maker 12/23/2011, 12:14am PST
Majesty 2 was a point-missing fuckup of royal proportions, btw. NT by Mischief Maker 12/23/2011, 12:16am PST
