There is the scene where the Driver has this dreamy kiss with the pretty mother before he goes all Dead Space on the Hitman sharing the elevator with them, but it ain't sensitivity that drives this scene, it's another Frog & Scorpion moment. He steals that kiss from her because he knows when his nature takes over it will be so horrifying she will forever be gone from his life.

Note that the opening prolouge to Melancholia is pretty awesome. It's a shame the final product didn't live up to these images:
