| Effective as in I'm getting triple kills with my sidearm on recon because it's actually firing bullets instead of airsoft pellets. That's mainly why it feels like CoD to me. I'm not saying this is bad, but it makes for a really odd feeling in BF. The autosnipers also feel a bit OP because of this, but that might just be because they're suited to the average range of the beta map.
