you're missing the point. no one on this show is dumb. by up with pod people 09/22/2011, 7:59am PDT most shows, everyone is too stupid for their own good. the writers need them to be dumb so that the plot doesn't instantly unravel. this show, it's the reverse; everyone's too smart for their own good. Jessie is a wounded addict, but thinks on his feet with boundless natural creativity. Skylar chose to trust walter, but she was never fooled, and despite being underestimated at every turn she has been a vital part of the operation. Hank, at his best, is motherfucking sherlock holmes. Gus, that's my favourite part of the show right now, adding some dimension (and some ability to fail) to Gus, because he's so effectively crafted his bulletproof, inspection-proof double life. also, I love that he thinks Jessie was the chink in his armour but it was actually Walt. Jessie really does have the true loyalty to his people; Walt's actions, even when they benefited Jessie, were fundamentally about himself. I think one of the larger themes of the show is that when you have smart people doing crime they overachieve just as much as when they're doing 'good.'
