the first hour is actually a clear improvement over minecraft, no need to try and guess what exact shape the crafting bench considers to be the exact item you are trying to make, terraria just brings a drop down list you can scroll through with your mouse wheel
but that's pretty much where the user friendliness ends, and after you make some torches and a house made of dirt, you are then expected to grind for ten million hours so you can get enough copper bars to make a helmet, and that's where I quit
let me know when they make an open world crafty game where I can prospect for copper and shit through the ten billion blocks of dirt and stone I just gathered, maybe I will give it a try |
