But it might be more FUN. You know, like Doom. Doom was gloomy, but I don't remember groping around in pitch black all that much. And I certainly don't remember thinking "this is pretty good, but you know what it really needs? MORE READING." Doom 3 is an excellent answering machine simulator, I'll give it that. Just like my cheap digital answering machine, there's no fast-forward or rewind, and everybody takes forever to get to the point. And hey, they managed to get spiders in there too, that's always a plus. Although they can never compete with the awesomeness of Unreal II's *entire level* of spiders.
