it has some slums, but they're cute slums. I was generally impressed with how they took a very real-feeling city and then put a very Jetsons main square in it. (and a hidden badge for going to the very top of the very tallest tower, with the wind whistling all around you, etc.) it allowed me to forgive them for the completely snow-locked "Canadian" zone.
contrasted with city of heroes (the other western comic book MMO title) which photocopies depressing office buildings and warehouses ad infinitum, it feels quite optimistic. |
