I was talking to my surgeon the other day and mentioned I'd had some AWESOME 1 PROOF BEER (WHERE ARE MY PANTS?) and he said that he knew a guy who wasn't going to transplant a patient because he drank that. 1 proof NA beer. Another guy wasn't going to transplant a patient because the patient said he'd tried cocaine three years previously. He said he'd never done it since and there was exactly zero evidence to the contrary. Thankfully, both of them were overruled by a mexican doctor who was in charge of both shitheads, which gave my surgeon the chance to imitate that guy's voice: "Some people are so . . . I won't say eeevil, just stupeed."
So god forbid I run afoul of the transplant Nazis. Jesus Christ. I was telling a friend of mine about my Mysterio buddy here who'd gotten a transplant after he drank his liver to failure. "Guess what?", I said. He doesn't drink anymore and he's pretty glad to be alive. Amazing how that works. :( |
