Frankly I loved it - definitely a blast from the past in terms of assuming your audience isn't comprised of complete morons (and if they are, they probably shouldn't be playing the game anyway). Once suitably embroiled in the intrigue, however, the game is awesome.
The intrigue of clicking near an enemy then holding down the right mouse button until they all went away. What the hell is that first sentence supposed to mean anyways?
Releasing your little indie darling for $39.99 when it can get you what is sure to be the game of 2005 in FF vs. the Third Reich will get you a lesson in (economic) Darwinia if you're digging my ditch here. I would like to state for the record that when I recommended it, it was with the impression that the full version would be around $20 like Gish.
In related news, BloodRayne II is still hilariously going for $49.99 at www.ebworld.com, which might be the funniest thing to happen in game pricing ever, if you take a look at the sheer number of quality games you'd have to pass up to play some garbage about a pair of tits and teeth on a pole.
