Put me on a drone! I've already run hundreds of sorties over Libya as a kid in F-15 Strike Eagle II.

I actually played I, II, and III of that series, and the unofficial IV which was Janes F-15. Looking at the credits, it's many of the same team from III. Strike Eagle III was a big departure from II -- my older brother was able to strafe practically the entire map clean of targets for absurdly high scores in II. But III was hyper-realistic. Any mission where AMRAAMs weren't available and I was supposed to try to kill things with fucking Sparrows? *crumple-throw-in-trash animation* NEXT! We played III all the time in the dorms on my 33 MHz 486 (when we weren't playing Wing Commander II or Wolfenstein 3D).

The other thing I was thinking about, before your mention of F-15 Strike Eagle II, was that I was reading Six Frigates and it's funny that the country we were fighting 200 years ago still sucks and is in need of a beat down.

Max 8088 and 86 was like 9.66mhz. Maybe you just had a proper 8086? by Entropy Stew 03/20/2011, 10:04pm PDT NEW
Huh! I will ask my brother then, since he remembers way better than I do. NT by laudablepuss 03/21/2011, 2:30pm PDT NEW
