You understand the concept of purchasing goods, right? The seller sets a price for a good. You pay that price. You receive the good.
This is what is happening here, except the good in question is not ready to be received. However, you are given a "sample" of the good while you wait.
I realize that the purple background is combining with your yellow reflection in the monitor to turn this whole site a sickly tan which is distracting your concentration, but if I think if you just focus on the words, this will start to make sense to you.
Okay, genius. So if it doesn't work, as in this case, do they refund the money? What happens if the game never gets finished? Preorders make sense for highly anticipated games made by largish companies. They do not make any sense for this situation. But, if that's the understanding and this guy knew that, then that's fine. You can stop asking me what *I* want in a preorder because *I* don't think preorders are useful in the best of cases.
If they want to drum up interest, release a free demo. If they want to raise money to fund the game development process, I think they should take responsibility for the product they are in fact selling and delivering. Maybe they are, I dunno. I'm having a hard time condemning the emailer as a retard, though. |
