And cheap, compared to stealth. It is the only weapon skill that works on every single boss to instantly kill them once you hit five shots or more. The game can seem uneven depending on how you choose to play scenarios as the later encounters (and much of Russia) is designed to counter lower level skills. Also, not buying/having access to the "give me the shitty guards" intel can put tougher guards in harder positions.
My hard playthrough (not recommended) began in Moscow because I figured that was the shortest path to the best armor and most powerful pistol (true), but I should have changed locations before hitting the main missions (the ones with alphas on them) as they are significantly more challenging for lower level characters. In general, the easiest path is to do the pre alpha missions in every level, then do Rome/Taipei/Moscow finales. |
