Maybe I just get shit hot drops then... by Cannibal Dave 11/09/2010, 7:33am PST ... because I, too, had low barter, and I, too, had low repair, and I, too, have an aversion to OCD looting and yet... I was always blinging, no matter what. Some possible explanations for this discrepancy: Maybe cuz I was pumping less combat than you, I felt free to sell off my energy and melee weapons and accessories; as well, I didn't have to buy vendor shit associated with those skills. I was pumping speech and science, so maybe that makes a huuuge difference on earned caps via quest reward, restricted area access, and lessened equipment attrition on account of nonviolent quest resolution? Though, *hooks thumbs into belt loops* seems to me that if one were to do an Exploration playthrough, the cardinal skills to take would be Speech and Science. Like, yeah, maybe I'm just as guilty of gaming the game as you, seeing as I religiously avoided Caravan whilst you exploited it. I mean, *they* obviously put Caravan there for a reason. But... I'm gaming the game such that there's more game to game, you know?
