It's Halloween. The World Series is being played. You know what I'd rather be doing than watching this stupid football game? ANYTHING ELSE.
The schedule page for the Saints -- well, back up. This page? neworleanssaints.com/schedule.... doesn't actually have the fucking schedule on it. You have to click around a bit to find it. The NFL, which must make millions of dollars per second, is so fucking greedy, they deeplink content for extra ad impressions. Anyway, the schedule page said the game started at 6:20 MDT. Kickoff was at 6:33 MDT. I absolutely do not fucking care about the two unlistenable bags of shit calling the game telling me their impressions of two teams they haven't called yet this season. I know this complaint must make me look like a thousand years old, but I don't care. We then suffer through the Faith Hill performance, which makes you take Al-Queda's side when it comes to destroying our culture. They have a point. And we just had a situation where the Steelers's coach issued a coach's instant replay challenge on a play that, if overturned, still would not have given Pittsburgh the ball. So that was five minutes of hellborn delay right there.
These games are unwatchable. They are oversaturated with ads and delays in a way I could never have envisioned. They never used to play a Sunday night game during the weekend of the World Series. This is SO FUCKING DUMB. They can't possibly cancel the 2011 season due to labor strife / ownership greed fast enough.
