FUCK! They kept the same lock on system from DMC2? That was the single worst part about an already crappy game. DMC1 just had you automatically target the closest enemy. Simple and consistent. How on earth do you fuck up something that straight foward? DMC2 has the consistent system of constantly locking on to the least threatening (endless respawning) enemy on the screen.

Two more cons:

- Teenaged bishie Dante

- Having to choose between "styles". One style concentrates more on sword moves, another gun, another crazy acrobatic stunts. You can apparently only choose one style per playthrough. This soudns like a horribly artificial way to inject replay value. Why do I have to choose? Why can't we just get all of them at once? DMC was great because you combined all sorts of crazy gun, sword, and jumping moves. DMC2 was horrible because all you did was fire guns (that never locked on to what you wanted).

Another con, you don't get the demon form until about a third into the game. Who in the world considered this to be a good move?
