Because THIS looks like some seriously boring shit:
I keep meaning to do a full review of Din's Curse. My capsule review is that it's a randomly generated Diablo-alike with aging graphics and one really good genre-revitalizing innovation: the monsters are actively working to kill everyone in the tiny village you have been forced by a grumpy god to champion. If you dink around grinding XP or carefully collecting everything not tied down and selling them for maximum gold, the boss monsters in the dungeon will begin doing random bad things, starting small with causing monster uprising or building Storm machines, then sending deadly assassins to wreak havok in the village until finally opening a portal in town and swarming the town with monsters. You are under the gun and the people you're protecting are in serious danger. It brings more of a heroic feeling to the adventure than any RPG I ever played.
And it's probably better than this jRPG anime game that everyone in the indie community seems to be in love with at the moment. Maybe Soldak should have invested in a PAX booth?
