| A girl broke up with me one time and then like 6-8 months later I was on a fancy date and afterward my date and I went to a little ice cream shoppe still made up in our nice clothes and as we were walking in my ex was walking out. She was unwashed and wearing sweatpants and clearly just grabbing some ice cream to take home to watch a movie with her sister or something, which is of course a perfectly normal thing to do.
I felt bad, though, because she probably felt like shit after that but really there was no way of predicting that we'd run into each other at that exact moment when she looked her worst and I looked my best and the new girl and everything. It could have easily broken the other direction on another day. I know I would have felt bad in her shoes even though it was a blameless coincidence. |
