| Holy shit is it boring. Actually it tries so hard not to be boring, with crazy scripted shit happening all the time, that it ends up being a ridiculous caricature of combat, not unlike the intro movie and cutscenes (style ripped off from the intro of the movie The Kingdom) already mentioned.
All those fucking grenade insta-deaths piss me off. Why have people been raving about the flamethrower? I was utterly disappointed, as per usual movie-physics it acts like a giant blowtorch, not a burning gasoline-hose. Then the Russian level began, and it immediately ripped off Enemy at the Gates. My piss hit boiling point when I had to counter-snipe a nazi sniper, who in "true sniper fashion" (yeah, those are sneer quotes) would suddenly pop out from windows, aim for a tiny fraction of a second, then fire off insta-death headshots.
