It would have been an awesome movie if that was some kind of, I don't know, metaphorical blastoff.

The movie would have been 1000 times better if she had been actually delusional and as she got better all the people she thought she knew and loved (but were all actually imaginary) started yoinking off into space as she sadly realized they weren't real. That was what I was hoping it was at the beginning.
