But a lot of you have been emailing, asking "Ygurts, how do you manage to keep it going, how do you manage to get so many dorks SO ANGRY?!" I know I'm a legend. I am mentioned monthly if not weekly even in the long periods where I've not posted AT ALL. I am, as previously expressed, legend.

I've ignored those fan letters, for YEARS, and I'm sorry. Now that I've retired and passed on the torch to a new generation, with a new style, I think I'll take a minute to answer. It may be outdated now, crazy kids like cakewalk and mkultra have their own style, but maybe a word from an old man might help prospective trolls.

First, you have to believe a little of what you're saying. Whether you are arguing that people shouldn't take a shit in public restrooms or that meat eaters disgust you or that video games are not art, you have to have a stake in the game you are playing. A lot of trolls try to skip this and they fail. Even I, as Probo, made some mistakes. At one point in my insanely prolific post spree as a "Conservative" I tried to argue against gay marriage. It was no problem for me to smash pseduo-liberals like Ahriman or other flailing douchebags, their logic, however left-leaning they believed it to be, was flawed and dumb (IS lawed and dumb) but when I had to argue against something so obviously basic as gay marriage, I failed. So, point one, have a stake and even if you are going to be extreme in your troll, base it on something you can get behind.

Second, it's all about linguistics. Whatever terms you use, make them matter. Some faggot (I am getting meta here and inviting the Word Squad to get mad about my word use) is already mad I said "crowdsourcing" in my post here. Little faggot, did you think someone as insanely bright and skilled at this as I would *accidently* drop "crowdsourcing"? No, no, you are mad about exactly what I intended you to be mad about, just as some of you are already angry at this sentence and about to post references to Mad Hatter. I know what you're going to do before you do it. Which leads us to three:

Third, anticipate responses. The more you do this, the more you can predict that a ditchfaggot like Calimente Nocut...whatever, some ped, some Plinko, some, Dirkd23, some Clea...no, he wants to be noticed too badly to even bother, some worthless dude, is going to get MAD about certain phrases, certain words, certain ways of twisting an issue. Now, if you're reading this and mad or shocked or about to tell me off because holy shit you care about reasoned dialogue, then fuck you. But if you're reading this for context and you're GETTING IT then you already know that there is NO PURPOSE for discussion. There is NO PURPOSE for online forums beyond manipulative discourse, then this is for you. Anticipate responses and shoot them down before they begin. If some retard starts with "You already said X but I am replying anyway..." you WIN. For every argument you anticipate and shoot down preemptively, you WIN. And whatever the case, the more you derail reasoned debate, reasoned argument and reasoned discourse, while still remaining on top of the idiot who respond, the more you WIN. This is the only game on internet forums.

Finally, at the end of the day, you only win if you entertain yourself and your friends. If you are actually angry about anything here, you lose. If you are here for anything other than disjunctive, angry discourse, you lose. This forum was built on the back of high school dropouts (shout out to TE "fat insane girls are hot" DA, Bur "Needle" ble, Nick "DEVO was a *college* band" C. and K. "Marry a girl with cash" Thor) with a warped sense of humor. Whatever came or comes after, these forums are, at the base, RETARDED.
