_I am also amazed what people said about it, I figured it would at least be below 70. Guess not many people here got past the brick wall learning curve? Few do first time, but they often come back a month or two later and spend entire nights on it for a couple more months. Some have never stopped. Others have been absorbed by the forums; there being some decent Mafias, Roll To Dodge and adventure games. And the endless obsessed dev threads. Kinda like how Future of the Fortress is now. The version of the game that has had constant development for a year now is going to be released in a month or two...probably less.
_Anyway, here are links in case people missed them, Boatmurded has already been posted at least.

_In response to the conversation on bugs; the reason bugs are left in the game is because they are Fun! The Sleeping Ugly bug was fixed overnight when people reported it, because it was actually a game breaking bug. However, the Fire Ignorance bug is so hilarious that it might never be "fixed", although supposedly the doctors will eventually be able to diagnose ‼Dwarf‼. You need to remember that Dwarf Fortress is still an Alpha, not a complete game. Version 1 will be when all the Arcs, Reqs, Cores, Bloats, and Bugs are fixed. Since there are so many of them, this will take years, and I'll be playing all the way.
_Maybe you people don't like because it's targeted at the people who read books. It's eventual goal is to be "a complete world and story generator", where it can create your own version of Beowulf's epic tale. |
