I hate how people who pre-order a game digitally give the most profit to the publisher, but get the worst service and play it last. Pinback bought Silent Hunter 5 a few weeks ago and it was supposed to be released today. He chose Direct2Drive because he was previously fucked over by both Steam and Stardock. (Or maybe Stardock didn't have it listed initially, I can't remember.)
I thought there was no way someone could fuck up the simple release of a submarine game, but I also knew that there was no way they'd be able to pull this shit off. Silent Hunter 5 also has Ubisoft's DRM around it, where you need a constant Internet connection. For a sub game. I know. I know!
Anyway, it's here.
