| I guess I should've pointed out the obvious, that the costume was pretty ridiculous.
If I had to hate on Kayne, I'd point out the stupid gimmicky rapping in "Thru The Wire". "I nearly died in a car wreck and had my mouth wired shut. Listen while I spit a couple of verses about it - THROUGH MY CLOSED MOUTH!" Maybe that's the real problem we should all have with him - he bludgeons everyone over the head with his messages until we're screaming OKAY OKAY WE GET IT. And sure, that one other song (I can't even remember the name - "the something something Workout something or other") is unremittingly awful, perhaps the single worst track I've heard in years. Doesn't mean he isn't one of the better things to happen to rap music recently. Besides, it's either him or 50 Cent (the poor man's B.I.G. except he's not even that good) who'll dominate the air waves for at least a few years - take your pick. |
