The default library and playback style for foo are the album list and playlist. They are difficult to work with if you don't have immaculate tags.

Anyhow, tags are a journey, not a destination. I'm immaculate enough.

I checked your foo_facets url, it is legit. I installed it, Activate is greyed out and it doesn't appear on any menus!


Except on this configure menu (view image by itself to see unshrunk version). You can add colunms by typing! You can see I've guessed at "bitrate" and "year". How many albums do I have? Easy, 11150. Or 27358. Are those black windows on the right ... Facets? Middle-click of course does nothing. Googling "enable facets" was also good. That CPU bump you see in task manager is from dragging the album list window. It take a few seconds to start moving. What the fuck is going on? Later, I would wipe out all my "panels" (resetting the UI to just a list of playlist no nothing else) while trying to change the playlist view style in case that would help facets to work.



Playlists are the heart of the foobar workflow.


For everyone else, what you want instead is to get aggressive with your layout
