Here's a problem: Klingon BOP +27s (which blow me up with comical ease) in the SAME FUCKING ENGAGEMENT as Klingon BOP -13s, which are dropped to 10% hull with one of my torpedoes. And guess what? You can't tell which are which because they look EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME*. They do have the little red +27 or white -13 next to their names, but you only get to see that when you're close enough for them to shoot you. Which, for the 27s is already too close for me to have any chance of escape at all.
And this engagement with all the +27s flying around? It's in the Sirius block, which is essentially the Elwyn forest of STO. I was a teensy bit disappointed to run into these guys in that sector. So, what the fuck over. >: [
*Hilariously, your sensors can't tell you what an enemy is at a distance when you can visually see that they're Birds of Prey or K'tinga or whatever. But I guess that's in keeping with a goofy feature of the Star Trek TV shows: sensors not being as good as looking out a window. "It's not showing up on sensors". Really? It's reflecting or emitting visual light. Maybe our sensors should be able to pick that up? |
