The front page of the lawsuit's website, http://www.dramantitrustsettlement.com, doesn't even list who the fuckers were. Go ahead and take away from this that they are all thieving and greasy. The entire industry is populated by cash-hungry, desperate losers. I got a check for $34.95. They were going to give you 11% of what you could prove you purchased during the time period, 1999-2002. RAM stopped being a fucking ripoff on July 1st, 2003. Whew! I don't have any receipts from 1999, I don't edit the Wikipedia as a hobby. I made up a number that sounded good, with the knowledge that if they wanted proof I'd be no worse off than I was before. I'll probably buy a video game with the money. I hate myself. I'd say that I'd much rather pirate hardware than software, except that pirating hardware kind of means burglary, and I like to stay in at night when I come home from work. ICJ |
