after playing infamous, I had the urge to try prototype again, since I didn't really give it a fair chance to get my attention. that might have been because l4d had just came out, I don't remember or care psh wuteva so anyway.
first thing I did was reacquaint myself with the controls, since I had totally forgotten them. the control setup is actually really good, and I was finally able to understand some of the targeting and fighting systems. the very next thing I did was grind the xp to buy the hookshot arm upgrade, which the description said would "assist in hijacking helicopters." what they should have said was "this is the only way to hijack helicopters," or maybe just "buy this and press B to rape everything in the game" because as soon as I jacked my first chopper, I spent an hour obliterating the hive buildings (they regenerate after a few minutes).
then I went and got higher level medals in some of the side quests. next up: infiltrate a military base.
oh and the game crashed when it tried to play a web of intrigue video, but that's probably because the rental disc is all scratched up. people love scratching up rental discs for some reason, I can't imagine why. some people are just sociopaths. |
